“I’ve always believed that with enough discipline and determination, you can achieve anything you
set your mind to.”
– Lana Hartmann

The song may have ended. But for Lana,

The beat goes on.

Lana Hartmann calls the years she spent as a roving elementary school music teacher “one of the greatest jobs I’ve ever had.” In that role, she was able to touch the lives of more than 1,500 kids every week. The kids loved to see her coming, anticipating what kind of new and exciting instruments she’d bring them or what fun rhythm games she’d teach. And she returned the favor, pouring her heart and soul into each day’s work. The whole scenario was a success by any definition.

Practice Makes Perfect

Lana didn’t reach that position easily, however. It took years of dedication that were instilled in her from an early age. Her mother was a piano teacher, and by the time Lana was 16 years old, she was already giving lessons to other neighborhood kids for $3 for each half-hour lesson. She then went on to study at one of the nation’s most prestigious music schools at Indiana University. Lana recalls hours spent hopping from one practice room to the next in order to get in as much time possible.

Determined to Succeed

To know Lana today, you’d quickly recognize that same dedication and discipline from so many years ago. In fact, for nearly 25 years, those traits have been the driving force behind her success as one of Northern Virginia’s leading real estate professionals.

When you work with Lana toward the sale or purchase of a home, your goals become her goals. She starts by sitting down to listen to your needs and to establish expectations based on today’s market conditions. Having been through the ups and downs of various market cycles, Lana possesses the know-how and experience to overcome any challenges and help you achieve your real estate goals.

Coming Home

Despite her wealth of experience, Lana isn’t one to rest on her laurels. Her passion for real estate finds her continually seeking new ways to better serve her clients. Her late husband was an Air Force colonel for 23 years, and during that time, Lana moved many, many times. As a result, she empathizes with her clients and strives to make the entire process as smooth as possible. “A person’s home is their most valuable investment,” Lana says. “That’s why I work so hard for every client. I understand the importance of your move and tailor my service to your individual needs.”

With something so important at stake, it’s nice to have someone like Lana by your side. When she says something will be done, she sees to it that it is. Quite simply, her passion for her career has never wavered through all these years.
